Pandiya Naadu Region
During the period when the Thevaram hymns were sung by the Nayanmars, the present-day districts of Madurai, Virudhunagar, Ramanathapuram, Pudukottai, Sivagangai, and Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu were collectively known as the region of Pandiya Naadu.

Ashta Veeratta Sthalam
TThe temples where Lord Shiva is believed to have performed his furious dance of valor are collectively known as the Ashta (Eight) Veeratta Sthalangal. All eight of these sacred temples are located in Tamil Nadu.
Jyothir Linga
Rameswaram is one of the twelve sacred Jyotirlingas and the only one located in Tamil Nadu. The remaining eleven Jyotirlinga temples are situated across North India.
These twelve Jyotirlinga temples are revered as divine abodes where God Shiva manifested himself as a column of light, symbolizing his infinite and formless nature. Rameswaram holds a unique spiritual significance as the southernmost Jyotirlinga.
